Terms & Conditions of service

Environment: 

I (Pet Parent) understand that to ensure each of my pets’ safety I need to make sure my pet(s) is properly secured with a leash and/or carrier. A loose pet puts Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles’ entire operation on pause.

I (Pet Parent) understand while Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles provides service, it is expected that the surrounding environment is calm and that any doors stay closed throughout the duration of service. Too much excitement or stimulation for the pet can make it difficult/unsafe to work with them. Pet Parents are not able to stay in the room with Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles while services are being provided. Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles asks that children under the age of 12 be occupied elsewhere while we work with your pet. If Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles deems the environment to be too distracting for the pet to proceed, they reserve the right to halt service. In the event that Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles halts service, full payment is still due.

I (Pet Parent) understand I must refrain from scolding/spanking my pet while Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles works with them. If Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles feels as though the pet parent is getting too hostile with their pet they reserve the right to halt service. Full payment for the service is still due.

I (Pet Parent) understand if a Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles staff member suffers an injury through no fault of their own, I agree to cover all co-payments and medical bills not covered by their insurance. I also agree to cover any equipment damage caused by my pet, myself, family, or friends.

I (Pet Parent) understand and agree to waive Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles liability in the event I am injured in the process of assisting with service with my own pet(s).

Behavior:

I (Pet Parent) understand that if my pet attempts to bite during their appointment the service may not be finished and I am still required to provide full payment.

Although Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles will take all possible precautions during the grooming process, I acknowledge that medical emergencies may arise due to the stress of grooming and I agree not to hold Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles and/or its employees responsible for adverse reactions.

Payment Policy:

I (Pet Parent) understand payment is due before leaving the premises after service.

I (Pet Parent) understand if payment is not given prior to leaving that is considered theft of services. 

No-Show Policy for Dog Grooming Salon

We at Mia's Cuts & Cuddles understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise that may cause you to miss your scheduled appointment. However, we kindly request that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may be waiting for an opening.

If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment or cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, we reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of up to 50% of your appointment fee to your account. This fee will be added to your next appointment's service charge. If you have a package or a prepaid service, one session will be deducted from the package/prepaid service for each no-show or late cancellation.

We understand that emergencies and unexpected events can happen, and we will always try to accommodate your schedule to the best of our ability. However, frequent no-shows or late cancellations may result in the loss of your appointment privileges, and you may be required to prepay for your future appointments.

We here at Mia's Cuts & Cuddles reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to inclement weather and/or unsafe travel conditions, vehicle malfunctions, staffing, and/or illness/injury. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as we decide that we must cancel a pet’s appointment. We do not take the decision to cancel your pet’s appointment slot lightly. We will make these scheduling decisions with everyone’s safety in mind, and appreciate your understanding.

Matted Release Form

I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge that my pet, as listed above, has significant matting and/or tangles in its fur. I understand that this matting can cause discomfort, pain, and even injury to my pet during the grooming process. I understand that heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pets skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, and/or revealing skin irritations that existed prior to the self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may exhibit brief behavioral changes. 

I understand that the grooming salon cannot be held responsible for any injuries or adverse reactions caused by the matting, and I release them from any liability. I also understand that my pet may require additional services, including but not limited to dematting, which may result in additional charges. I, the understand, accept that should my pet need any veterinarian care after or during the process of de-matting, I (Pet Parent) agree to pay any and all veterinarian fees.

I authorize the grooming salon to take any necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of my pet during the grooming process. I understand that if my pet's matting is too severe, the grooming salon may be unable to safely remove the mats and may need to shave the affected area or the entire coat.

I have read and understood the contents of this matted release form and agree to its terms and conditions. I certify that I am the legal owner or agent of the owner of the pet named above and have the authority to execute this release.

Injury & Emergencies

I (Pet Parent) understand Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles is fully insured, and should my pet suffer an injury that is determined to be at Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles fault, they will reimburse all related veterinary expenses. We reserve the right to speak directly with the pet(s) veterinarian and will require a physical, itemized copy of the bill before reimbursing any expenses.

Although Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles will take all possible precautions during the grooming process, I (Pet Parent) acknowledge that medical emergencies may arise due to the stress of grooming and I (Pet Parent) agree not to hold Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles and/or employees responsible for adverse reactions.

In the event of an emergency, I (Pet Parent) authorize Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles to immediately seek professional veterinary attention for my pet at the nearest veterinary clinic. I understand all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency and that I am held financially liable for all veterinary care and travel costs. I understand that Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles, LLC is not responsible for any loss, injury, or death of or to my pet from conditions not disclosed prior to my grooming appointment that could be exacerbated by any grooming services. 

Seniors & Special Needs Policy

Senior 8+ years:

I (Pet Parent) understand that if my pet is a senior (8+ years of age) the grooming process may be stressful and may exacerbate any pre-existing medical conditions my pet may have.

Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles takes all possible precautions during the grooming process and attempts to keep your pet as calm and comfortable as possible. I (Pet Parent) recognize that the stress of the grooming process may initiate unforeseen problems in my pet and I (Pet Parent) agree not to hold Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles and/or its employees responsible for adverse reactions.

Special Needs:

I (Pet Parent) understand if my pet has any special conditions it is important that I fully disclose these conditions to Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles before services are administered. The grooming process may be stressful and exacerbate any medical conditions your pet may have.

Discontinuing Services:

I (Pet Parent) understand Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles takes the utmost caution with all pets and reserves the right to halt service at any point and refer to a veterinarian.

I (Pet Parent) understand Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles reserves the right to discontinue service and refer to a veterinarian at any time and payment for that visit is still required.

Fleas:

I (Pet Parent) understand that all pets should be on flea preventative and that Mia's Cuts & Cuddles will not be held responsible for fleas found on pets. I understand a flea treatment charge can be added on the end price if fleas are found on pets while in our care and/or services can be ended early in case of a severe flea infestation. Although Mia's Cuts & Cuddles treats the outdoor area & salon with flea preventative, I understand that it is not Mia's Cuts & Cuddles responsibility to keep my pets flea free and accept all responsibility and cost of possible treatments given.

Vaccinations: 

I (Pet Parent) understand that Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles requires all pets to have their first year of vaccinations at the very least. We disinfect all equipment between pets to eliminate the chance of infection, but this does not guarantee that your pet may/will not be exposed. We recommend waiting a period of 7 to 14 days after vaccination before providing services to your pet. This will allow your pet’s immunity to build up in their system.  

Additional Services 

I (Pet Parent) understand that teeth brushing, peanut butter lick pad, anal glands, paw balm, shampoo upgrades, Dremel services are all an additional charge.

Abandonment Policy:

If your pet is not picked up within the hour contacted, there will be an additional daycare fee assessed. If your pet is not picked up by the time of closing there will be an additional boarding fee assessed. Any pet that has not been picked up from Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles within 24 hours of completion of services, may, at our sole discretion, be turned over to a local, state, or private shelter, organizations, society or pet adoption agency 

Misc: 

I (Pet Parent) authorize Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles to take photo/video of my pet for their files, website, social media, and advertising purposes. All photos are property of Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles.

I (Pet Parent) understand that Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles will never sell my information to third parties, but I will receive occasional text messages and emails from Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles.

I understand that Mia’s Cuts & Cuddles is a separate entity and any facility hosting a nail trim event is not liable for any damages or injury.

I (Pet Parent) understand that any disagreements that cannot be settled are to be sent through mediation and then arbitration.
