Grooming Geek
A Graduate of Melissa Verplank's Paragon School of Pet Grooming, Mia strives to continue to learn about safety and techniques to make sure she's able to safely give your pup the cutest cut! Attending grooming expos to obtain certifications like puppy handling and business compliance, Mia aims to keep her knowledge up to date with products, procedures and tips to always give you and your pup the best service possible.
A Decade with Dogs
Prior to entering the grooming industry, she spent the last decade working in pet shelters, dog daycares and dog boarding facilities. While working in daycares she also achieved getting certified in basic dog training as a training assistant using positive reinforcement.
More than just bark!
She spent time working in holistic pet supply stores learning dog nutrition and how it directly applies to the inner workings of your pet! After years of dealing with her own itchy dog and not having someone to break down what could be the cause she has taken pride in learning.
All About Your Dog
The motivation behind opening shop was to be able to walk to the beat of not only her own drum but your drum dogs too! We know rushing through grooms can be stressful, especially in a new environment. Respecting your dog comes first in our salon, we will listen to what your dog is telling us and communicate with you how we can come together to help your dog understand what we want from them. Our goal is to make the grooming process as easy as possible.
